Festivities include birthday cake\, carnival games\, crafts\, prizes\, a caricature artist\, and a mini golf course. Please RSVP on our website at www.sherburnehistorycenter.org. \n\n \n\nSherburne County became a county on February 25\, 1856. In 2012\, the Sherburne County Commissioners issued a proclamation declaring February 25\, Sherburne History Day. A little known fact is that the county seat was originally in Big Lake\, but was moved to Elk River in 1865. \n\n \n\nWe will be celebrating this special day the Saturday before on February 22.
