Historian David Jones will be at the Elk River Activity Center to discuss the history of the Olympics and the complicated legacy of the 1936 games. The Olympic Games were held in Berlin, Germany in 1936 and were notorious for the tightly controlled image the Nazis presented to the world. These games also became a blueprint for future Olympics.
