Description
some exciting news to share. Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures (MLCV) announced last week that CEO Joe Nayquonabe will travel to Kuwait May 13-18 with the Serving Our Troops organization to serve a meal to nearly 4,000 troops at Camp Arifijan, Kuwait. Minnesota National Guard members from the 682nd Engineer Battalion are among these troops. While Joe is serving meals in Kuwait, Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures will be serving free meals to veterans and military members at businesses right here in Minnesota. The free meals are a part of MLCV’s recognition of National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM).
I know that we have a lot of people who are either military members and/or Veterans or folks who know of a servicemen or woman as a part of your organization. Would you be willing to share this message with your contact list? We’d love to serve as many people as possible, while the volunteers of this great organization – Serving Our Troops – is doing the same.
I think Joe said it best when he said, “In our society it is easy to throw the word hero around. We have sports heroes, movie heroes, music heroes – but when it comes to living truly heroic lives, it’s our servicemen and servicewomen in the military that truly earn that title by living lives of sacrifice on behalf of others.” It’s an honor for him personally to be able to give something back, and an honor for our businesses to be able to make a gesture of gratitude as well.
