Lead Instructor

Job Description
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to develop and to implement individualized service plans for assigned consumers. You will be working with people on skill development and maintenance in the areas of communication; self care, using resources in the community, work skills, social skills and behaviors. You will coordinate these services with therapists, families and residential providers.  You will also be responsible for training, directing and supervising three Assistant Instructors. We would strongly prefer that the person hired have strong skills in behavior management.
 
You will be writing periodic reviews, as well as representing our agency at team planning meetings for your consumers, thus you must have good oral and written communication skills.  In this capacity, you should meet the “Designated Coordinator” requirements, which basically means that you would need at least an AA degree in a related field, as well as, related experience.  You will be supervised by a Program Manager but the primary responsibility for the consumers’ programs will be yours. You will also be responsible for driving Options’ vehicles on our transportation routes. 
 
The hours for this position are basically from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday. Options pays 80% of the health insurance premium for the employee.  Options also provides dental insurance for the employee, as well as, a $25,000 life insurance policy, long term disability insurance, a Simplified Employee Pension plan, and an accidental death and dismemberment policy.  Paid Time Off for new "regular" employees will be earned at a rate of 17 days per year.  There are at least 240 paid workdays during the calendar year.
