Freshly Squeezed Comedy is the high-energy, wacky standup duo of Lefty Crumpet & Jesse The Shrink. They book, produce, & perform in their own shows throughout the state of Minnesota. Lefty brings his silly songs & Jesse brings his unique perspectives as a licensed therapist (yes he really is a shrink & yes, that probably means he's analyzing you). Joining them for this very special show at Lupulin Brewing will be Twin Cities comedians Aidan Thibault (Acme Comedy Club's "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities" contest winner), Jethro Trogo (producer of "Just Pho Laughs" Comedy Showcase), & Corina Lucas ("Portland's Funniest Person" contest runner-up). ABOUT OUR COMICS: Jesse The Shrink What do you get when you mix a shrink & comedian? This guy! Jesse is a bona fide licensed therapist & standup comic who gives audiences a sneak peek into the inner-workings & often hilarious experiences of a mental health professional. Whether he’s talking about navigating virtual therapy sessions during an apocalypse or just trying to figure out what to tell drunk people he does for a living, one thing’s sure: after hearing his stories you’ll never see therapy (or your therapist) the same again! Jesse is the producer & host of Jesse The Shrink’s Midlife Crisis Show, the St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show, Friday Night Comedy at Gambit Brewing, St Paul Art Crawl Comedy Night, Therapy & Politics, & the 420 Standup Comedy Show. He’s also co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy, creator of the Funniest Person in St Paul contest, & runs a weekly comedy open mic at Gambit Brewing. Jesse won the 2024 Clear Water Comedy contest at The Plus in Eau Claire, WI, was a 2024 Funniest Person With A Day Job finalist at House of Comedy in Mall of America, & is a regular guest on the Tom Barnard Podcast. Lefty Crumpet Lefty is a 26-year-old, Minneapolis-based, ethnically-ambiguous, joke-slinging, musical funnyman with social anxiety from Riverside, California. He started doing standup comedy in college & immediately fell in love with the stage. His love of playing music led him to begin incorporating comedy songs into his standup performances. He lifts your hearts & minds with absurd & hilarious jokes & tunes, about various topics ranging from relationships to Doordash. Lefty is the producer & host of the popular Pajama Party comedy showcase, was a finalist in the Funniest Person With a Day Job contest at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy in Mall of America, is co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy, & has appeared on myTalk radio's Brittany & Kendall Show. You can find him bringing joy & confusion to crowds all over the Midwest. Aidan Thibault Aidan, just 20-years-old & originally from Duluth, moved to the Twin Cities to make his mark on the local comedy scene. And boy has he succeeded, becoming the youngest ever winner of the storied Acme Comedy Club Funniest Person in the Twin Cities contest in 2024. From reflecting on the realization that he’s Gen Z as opposed to a millennial (“I just learned recently that they’re, like, 40?”) to self-burns about his masculinity (“If someone sees a big guy with tools they’re like, ‘He’s going to fix something.’ If you see me with tools you’re like, ‘Oh he’s bringing those to someone else’”), Aidan leans into observations that manage to connect with the young as well as old-ass millennial members in the audience. Don’t miss your chance to see him! Corina Lucas Corina is a California-born comedian who has been on stage for most of her 34 years of life. After dropping out of college to pursue standup, she bounced around from LA to SF to Portland & eventually hung her hat in Minnesota. Corina has been featured in the SF SketchFest, placed second in Portland’s Funniest Person contest, was named one of the Top 5 Comedians in Portland by the Willamette Weekly, & has toured with Dan Savage as part of his Savage Lovecast tour. Jethro Trogo We're thrilled to be joined by hilarious Twin Cities comedian Jethro Trogo, who can be seen performing regularly at Mall of America's House of Comedy, Gambit Brewing in St Paul, and produces the Just Pho Laughs comedy showcase in Eagan.
