Irv Cross joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a seventh-round draft pick, and was quickly recognized as one of the hardest-hitting defensive backs in pro football. He played two Pro Bowls before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams, where he played for three seasons. He returned to the Eagles as a player-coach for one year, and then retired as an active player to devote his time to being a defensive backfield coach.
Cross became the first black sports analyst on national television when he was hired as an NFL analyst and commentator for CBS Sports. He is the 2009 recipient of the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award, given by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, for “long-time exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football.” He is currently the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota. His public speaking covers a wide variety of topics from motivational, inspirational and humorous subjects to leadership, team building and planning for the future.
Do something nice for yourself and take advantage of this upbeat way to say “Thank You” and “Happy Holidays” to your employees and special guests, too. Reserve by calling 763-441-3110 by December 9.
