Workshop Content:
Introduction to insect taxonomy, with a focus on the identification and life history of several common Minnesota orders and families. Activities will include a photo presentation, insect hike, and information provided on how to make an insect collection.
What to Bring:
Sack lunch, water, notebook, camera, clothes for hik-ing, repellent, insect field guides and nets. If you have an insect collection you wish to share, bring it along!

Presented by:
Sarah Foltz Jordan, a conservation biologist at the Xerces Society, who works with the Forest Service and other land managers to help preserve rare insects and their habitats.
