North Star SHRM will be hosting a seminar titled: The New Stakeholders: How to manage a more concerned and activist community. This is a virtual presentation on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 8 am to 9:30 am. All North Star SHRM members are invited to attend. In addition, all Elk River, Monticello, and I-94 West Chamber members are invited to attend. There is no cost to attend.
The target audience for this seminar is HR professionals and any business owners.
Over the last few years, a new group of stakeholders has asserted itself. “MeToo” is often misperceived as the source of this phenomenon, but a more accurate and helpful view is that it is an expression of the change. Members of an organization’s “community,” as that term is used broadly, are regularly confronting organizations on their practices and the conduct of their principals. A skilled management team must recognize what has changed and address a newly important range of issues.
