What You Will Do:
The Chief of Staff is a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing analysis and recommendations on business decisions and strategies. They take the lead on special projects and initiatives, conducting research, gathering data, and preparing reports and presentations. In addition, the Chief of Staff plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. They coordinate activities across departments, monitor performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning: The Chief of Staff works with the CEO to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan. They analyze industry trends, identify growth opportunities, and align resources to achieve the company's objectives.
- Project management: The Chief of Staff oversees and manages key projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO. They ensure that project goals are defined, deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to. They also coordinate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure project success.
- Operational support: The Chief of Staff assists the CEO in managing day-to-day operations. They help set priorities, allocate resources, and monitor performance across departments. They also identify areas for improvement and implement processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communication and coordination: The Chief of Staff serves as a central point of contact for the CEO, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders. They facilitate communication and coordination between different departments, ensuring that information is shared accurately and in a timely manner. They may also act as a liaison between the CEO and external partners, such as clients, investors, and board members.
- Decision-making and problem-solving: The Chief of Staff assists the CEO in making important decisions by providing analysis, insights, and recommendations. They gather data, conduct research, and present information in a structured and concise manner. They also help identify and address organizational challenges, working collaboratively to find innovative solutions.
- Leadership and mentorship: The Chief of Staff may also play a role in developing and nurturing talent within the organization. They provide guidance and mentorship to junior employees, helping them grow and succeed in their roles. They may also facilitate leadership development programs and culture-building initiatives.
- Confidentiality and discretion: The Chief of Staff often has access to sensitive and confidential information. They must maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism, ensuring that sensitive information is handled with the utmost care and discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to successfully interact with all levels of the organization.

- Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency and able to manage multiple priorities or deadlines.
- Maintains a high level of professional standards (honesty, integrity, demeanor).
- Bachelors degree, MBA or JD preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- At least 5 years of experience working with or advising senior level executives
- Experience in project management, with demonstrated ability to influence and set the course for individuals and teams
- Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in a fast paced, high growth organization
- Previous food manufacturing experience preferred
