Job Summary:
JonnyPops, located in Elk River, is seeking an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Manager with a Class C Boilers License. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment, systems, and buildings. In addition, this position organizes and schedules maintenance personnel, activities, and equipment to ensure that equipment is well-maintained and runs smoothly. Responsibilities also include monitoring employee performance and planning daily staffing to meet the workload while also supporting the Operations team regarding equipment-related issues.
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the maintenance department and repair of facilities, equipment, systems, and buildings, including the operation and maintenance of Class C boilers.

Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, minimizing downtime and disruptions to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts tracking and inventory, to ensure efficient and effective management of resources.

Schedule and oversee the work of maintenance staff and contractors, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure quality workmanship.

Directly manages and develops all maintenance staff.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe work environment and addressing any potential hazards or issues.

Manage budgets related to maintenance and repair and make recommendations for cost-saving measures while ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Utilize computer skills to maintain accurate records, generate reports, and manage budgets, using relevant software and systems.

Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, coordinating maintenance activities and addressing any facility-related concerns.
Requirements:

Class C Boilers License, with a thorough understanding of boiler operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.

5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing maintenance operations. Ice cream plant experience would be a plus.??

2+ years of leadership experience

Strong maintenance skills, including knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, to effectively address a wide range of facility maintenance needs.

Proficiency in computer skills for maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and managing budgets using relevant software and systems.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and respond to unexpected situations.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders.

Experience with budget management is preferred, with the ability to analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.

Flexibility to work first shift and occasionally work overtime as needed to meet operational demands.
