Outside Sales Representative Job Description
 
SuperGreen Solutions of Central Minnesota is a turnkey provider of energy efficiency services and energy efficient products. SuperGreen Solutions of Central Minnesota is bringing the latest technology to the market for residential and commercial customers. Offered solutions include the following: ISO 14001 Certification, Baseline Sustainability Assessments, Energy Audits, Solar (PV) Panels, LED Lighting, Air Purification Devices, Window Inserts, Window Films, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, and more. Currently, we have an opening for an Outside Sales Representative to cover Central Minnesota and NW Twin Cities Metro area.
 
The Outside Sales Rep will be an enthusiastic, self-starter with a passion for the environmental industry, motivated to help SuperGreen Solutions of Central Minnesota become the #1 turnkey provider of energy efficient solutions in the area. He/she will be responsible for helping drive the growth and profitability through development of new business opportunities in the area. The key to success is the ability to present our outstanding business opportunity in person or over the phone with passion, conviction, and persistence.
 
This position is a 1099, commission-based sales job.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically focused sales activities with commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential entities
  • Generate leads or follow up on leads provided
  • Generate and close sales
  • Establish initial meetings with the customer to learn about the customer and to develop individual sales strategy to meet the customer’s needs
  • Establish customer meetings to deliver the Value Proposition with other team members
  • Build trust and rapport with prospective customers
  • Create a sense of urgency to act now with prospects
  • Resolve concerns to going “Green”, installing solar, upgrading to LEDs, or making financial investments
  • Educate the customer on what it means to be “Sustainable” and the benefits by being able to explain the Triple Bottom Line
  • Follow-up on sales pipeline on a consistent basis
  • Diligently maintain necessary customer/prospect information within CRM software
  • Track and report sales pipeline via teleconference or face to face meeting as mutually arranged
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Tele-sales or B2B sales experience (but not required)
  • 5 years’ experience in a business, professional or sales setting
  • Renewable energy sales experience (a plus but not required)
  • Comfort and confidence in the sale of energy efficient products and/or professional services
  • Self–starting with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently or in a team consensus environment
  • Energetic, positive, enthusiastic, and a team player
  • Comfortable in using computer software and hardware, PC, tablets, and Microsoft Office products
 EDUCATION
  • BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Technology
  • Will consider other related disciplines or years of work experience (Please state your qualifications in a cover letter)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Travel expected to be 60-80%
  • Provide own vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of automobile insurance
