School Bus Driver

Vision Transportation is a locally owned and family-operated school bus company proudly serving our communities of Big Lake, Elk River, Rogers, Zimmerman, and St. Michael-Albertville. We are looking for enthusiastic school bus drivers to join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties

1) Drive a regular route, substitute for an absent route driver, or take flexible trips

2) Read and understand street signs, route sheets and maps

3) Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including child checks

4) Assist students in the loading and unloading process; maintain awareness of traffic to help direct students in safely crossing roads

5) Communicate and work effectively with department staff, school personnel, students, parents, and the public

6) Attend all safety and training meetings

7) Conduct emergency evacuations

8) Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily

9) Maintain a clean bus including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning interior/exterior windows

10) Proper use of radio dispatch equipment

11) Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A valid MN driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a valid CDL with proper endorsements
• Must be able to pass a drug test, physical and background screening
