Description
Join us and bring a neighbor for an evening of community as we discuss the book, Runes of the North, by Minnesota author Sigurd Olson.
A prominent environmentalist and nature advocate, Olson spent his lifetime fighting to protect wilderness areas. Runes of the North is a great example of Olson's ability to tell stories about his experiences in the woods.
Hosted by the Friends of Sherburne, a gathering to discuss the book will be held April 23 at 6:30 pm at the Oak
Savanna Learning Center at the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, located NW of Zimmerman on the south side
of County Road 9, approximately 5 miles west of Highway 169.
The book is available from public libraries or for purchase in hardcover, paperback or download. The discussion guide can be requested by emailing friendsofsherburne@gmail.com.
The Friends of Sherburne is a non-profit group that assists and supports Refuge projects and educational programs.
