Description
For the last 2 years, Rivers of Hope hosted our Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event in Monticello to raise awareness around the issue of domestic violence. The 2019 event, despite the rain that day, welcomed over 100 individuals from all over Sherburne and Wright Counties and beyond to demonstrate their commitment as allies to end family violence.
This year, our Walk a Mile Event faces even greater challenges beyond weather. The COVID-19 pandemic makes it hard to get together as a large group to raise awareness, but that’s not keeping us from getting the word out about the impact of domestic, family, and teen dating violence in Sherburne and Wright Counties!
We are excited to plan our 3rd annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event this year to go VIRTUAL! We hope that by getting people walking THROUGHOUT the counties (and beyond) we can INCREASE awareness of relationship violence in 2020!
