Description
A Retail Trade Analysis (RTA) report and workshop helps a community evaluate the health of their retail sectors. We invite you to join us at City Hall for this informative workshop. Call 441-3110 to register by Jan. 15.
Claudia Cody from the University of Minnesota Extension Service will lead the workshop, which is intended for all businesses in the area.
An RTA provides local sales data, comparing our community to others, which in turn helps assess strengths and opportunities for our local businesses. This data specifies the actual retail potential, identifying retail opportunities, as well as which business sectors are drawing shoppers away from our community. This data can be used to help existing businesses, and to attract new businesses. The report will calculate the pull factors which would apply to our community, identify our retail trends and evaluate how our actual retail sales compare to our sales potential.
This will be a document which can be made available to future developers, supporting the need for specific businesses.
