Reserve Officer - Volunteer
Join the City of Elk River as a Reserve Officer!
The Reserve Officer is a civilian volunteer who works under the close supervision of a higher-ranking officer. This position assists the patrol division with their enforcement of local, state, and federal laws. Reserve Officers participate in law enforcement efforts and all community events that include police and patrol duties, crime prevention and investigation, emergency response, public assistance, and community relations.This is a volunteer position (no salary/benefits).
Requirements: Candidate will have a valid MN driver’s license; high school diploma or the equivalent; and must meet all state-mandated requirements and local policies such as a physical examination and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to candidates with a First Responder certification and experience in law enforcement.
