Orono Beach Update
The swimming area at Orono Beach is temporarily closed due to high levels of E. coli bacteria. The beach will reopen once testing confirms that the bacteria levels are within safe limits according to state guidelines. E. coli occurs naturally, but high temperatures, heavy rainstorms, decaying plant material, and animal activity near the shoreline can all contribute to elevated levels. Board Appoints Jim Dickinson as New Anoka County Administrator
