Thank you

Thank you

Elk River Chamber Members . . . Thanks in Advance for renewing your membership.

September marks the beginning of school and the beginning of the chamber’s New Year.  It is also the month when the approximately half of our memberships are up for renewal.   That makes a good time to say thank you for your membership over the past year and to jog your memory why this chamber is so important to your business’ success and future!

Maybe because doing business has gotten extremely complicated, the benefits of membership and services provided have become more important than ever.  While there are many tangible membership benefits, there are equally many intangible benefits of membership.  Both the tangible and the intangible benefits are what set the chamber apart from other business services that are available to you.  Chambers-of-Commerce benefit the communities they serve by promoting the growth of the local economy, which as we all know, is the foundation of every community.

Chambers of Commerce can serve many roles in a business community.  For example, small and mid size businesses have access to resources usually reserved for bigger companies, like workforce development through our Leadership Elk River program, marketing support through our publications and website or training such as our upcoming “Train Your Brain for Success”.  By participating in chamber sponsored programs you are able to “buy in bulk” and share costs with other local businesses.

Chamber membership also increases the legislative bargaining power for all businesses, regardless of their size.  The clout of a unified business voice shapes the local business environment both now and for the future.  When it comes to representing the needs of the business community there is indeed strength in numbers.

For many business leaders, chamber membership is an excellent networking opportunity. By increasing the contact and awareness among businesses, chambers develop strong relationships within local business communities. Ispite of the many advances in technology we use to run our business and provide us with global markets, doing business with people you know is still important to most people..  The three dozen or so people that networking through the Chamber

Connection program held on Tuesday mornings have seen serious ROI for the time and commitment.  It offers members the opportunity to connect not only about business but about problem solving and that benefits everyone.

Again, I want to thank you for your membership investment, it is a smart investment that doesn’t lose value, especially on “Main St.”  By serving as the voice of business, the chamber symbolizes the spirit, effort and vision of our business community in achievement, growth and prosperity.
