Earned sick and safe time (ESST) is a new Minnesota law that will impact employers and employees throughout the state, when it begins Jan. 1, 2024. ESST will be overseen and enforced by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).
The Elk River Area, Big Lake Chambers and Rep. Paul Novotny have teamed up to invite you to a special presentation about the Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) law. This new regulation is brought in by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and is going to change how employers and employees operate in the state.
It's crucial to understand the intricacies of this law and how it's going to affect your workplace. Therefore, we're hosting an informative session with officials from the Department of Labor & Industry. They'll provide detailed guidelines and resources to help you effectively implement this law.
Come and learn from Dave Skovholt, a Labor Standards expert at the Dept. of Labor & Industry, to understand the new Earned Sick & Safe Time law that goes into effect on January 1, 2024.
