Miscellaneous Steel Dealer - Immediate Hiring
Distinctive Iron is a leading fabricator for structural and miscellaneous steel items for construction. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Miscellaneous Steel Detailer to join our team in Elk River, MN.
As a Miscellaneous Steel Detailer, you will play a crucial role in the design and fabrication process of structural steel components.
Responsibilities:
Produce detailed drawings and plans for miscellaneous steel components such as stairs, handrails, ladders, and other non-standard structural elements.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to interpret design specifications and ensure accuracy in the detail process.
Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Tekla Structures to create precise 2D and 3D models of steel structures.
Reviewing and checking drawings for compliance with project requirements, building codes, and industry standards
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address questions, revisions, and other project-related matters.
Contribute to continuous improvement of detailing processes and standards within the organization.
Requirements:
2-Year Technical degree preferred
3 years of experience in structural steel detailing, with a focus on miscellaneous steel components Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Tekla Structures software
Strong understanding of structural design principles, building codes, and industry standards. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Able to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
