Commissioner Mike Gamache Elected Chair of Anoka County Board

Commissioner Mike Gamache was elected chair of the seven-member Anoka County Board at its Jan. 7, 2025, organizational meeting; Commissioner Jeff Reinert was elected vice chair. 

            The board has adopted a committee of the whole structure for meetings this year, meaning all members of the board will serve on each internal county committee. Commissioner Gamache was named the lead commissioner of Information Technology. Other leads are Commissioner Julie Jeppson (Finance, and Transportation); Commissioner Jeff Reinert (Community and Governmental Relations, and Parks); Commissioner Scott Schulte (Property Records and Taxation); Commissioner Mandy Meisner (Human Services, and Management); and Commissioner Julie Braastad (Public Safety).

“I was honored to serve as board chair last year, and I’m humbled to take on that responsibility again this year, Commissioner Gamache said. “As chair, I’ll continue to work with my fellow commissioners to listen to the concerns of our residents and to serve them in the most respectful and responsible manner possible.”
