Announcing a New Member Resource
Like all our Members, here at the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce, we also have big goals for 2021, especially after 2020 derailed so much! One of our big picture goals for 2021 is to improve the work our website does through SEO, so we can provide even more value for our Members. Along with that big picture goal are a subset of goals or steps to take that we feel are necessary to maintain, and hopefully increase the value of your membership.
The first step we are taking regarding our website is to work on showcasing the Member Directory on our webpage to achieve more digital visibility for our members, and ultimately steering more business into your doors. The Directory is searchable by business category, keywords, and business name. How can you make your business stand out? By completing your Member Profile!
In looking at that portion of our website, we also realize that our the Business Directory portions of our website could use some polishing and updating to give our Members the best possible visibility. As we highlight them, we certainly don’t want our members pages to be so outdated you wonder if they are still in business. However, we know that having a digital presence in the world is not everyone’s cup of tea and we want to help you get the basics looking polished and well-maintained. So starting in 2021, we are offering a 1-on-1 hands on consultation to work on your business’s profile on our page. Together we will be working on the basics of your business – name, address, phone, driving directions, Google map coordinates, and adding any other social media links that your company has. We will help you complete your Directory Profile and help you add your logo(s) as well as 2-3 other pictures of your business or key personnel. If you don’t currently have a username and password set up to add events, job postings, news releases, and Hot Deals to our website, we will make sure that is set up before we start. Each consultation will be 30-45 minutes and can take place right at your office.
