Celebrate Wildlife at the 31st Annual Wildlife Festival!
Families, nature fans and outdoor explorers are invited to the 31st Annual Wildlife Festival at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event takes place at the Oak Savanna Learning Center and is free for everyone.
The festival celebrates National Public Lands Day, National Wildlife Refuge Week and Urban National Wildlife Refuge Day while showcasing the incredible wildlife and habitats protected at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge.
Visitors can enjoy a fun day on the refuge’s scenic granite trails, filled with hands-on activities and exciting things to see and do. With more than 35 options to choose from, activities include: wildlife encounters and demonstrations, NERF archery and a BB gun range, connecting with conservation professionals, cleaning native seeds, watching grazing goats in action, discovering aquatic invertebrates, creating nature crafts and more.
Plus, enjoy delicious food from two local vendors, bid on unique items at the Friends’ silent auction and shop at the Eagle’s Nest Nature Store.
Additional highlights of the festival include three live animal programs in the outdoor amphitheater, guided photography tours and the unique opportunity to drive along several refuge service roads from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
