Anoka County License Centers Partner with Granny’s Closet for Donation Drive
Anoka County License & Passport Centers are partnering with Granny's Closet for a donation drive during the month of March.
Donations of clothing, personal care, and household items can be dropped off during normal business hours at any of the five Anoka County License & Passport Centers in Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Ham Lake, and Ramsey. All locations are open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays.
Granny's Closet has accepted donations in Anoka County for nearly 30 years. It operates solely on contributions from local businesses, organizations, and the public, along with the dedication of volunteers.
Most needed items include:
- New cleaning supplies, including laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, Clorox/Lysol wipes, household cleaners, paper towels, sponges, mops, and buckets.
- New/gently used bed and bath items, including sheet sets, bath towel sets, wastebaskets, and laundry baskets.
- New personal care items, including toilet paper; tissues; shampoo and conditioner; body wash, bar soap, and hand soap; lotion; deodorant; toothbrushes and toothpaste; and razors, combs, and brushes.
- New kitchen items, including plates, bowls, and cups; utensils; dish towels; and small appliances in great condition like microwaves and coffee pots.
